Chris joined Charnwood Accountants as a Client Manager in January 2015 having previously worked at an independent firm with offices across the midlands. From starting there in 2008, following graduation from University, Chris worked his way through the ranks to become an ACCA qualified audit senior before becoming the manager of the small business department. As part of this role, he developed his skills in being the first point of contact for a portfolio of clients as well as ensuring all compliance work was completed by the deadlines.
Since joining Charnwood, Chris has continued his development and has a varied portfolio of clients including a number of larger audits. Chris enjoys the varied work that being a client manager at Charnwood Accountants offers especially the business advisory side of things. In particular, he enjoys working closely with owner managed businesses to help them grow and reach their full potential.
Outside of work, Chris has two young children, Olly and Alex, who keep him on his toes and take up most of his free time. In his spare time though, Chris enjoys most sport and can often be found cycling round the Leicestershire countryside or out on the golf course. He has also had a season ticket at Leicester City since 2002 and ranks the Premier League win in 2016 as one of his fondest memories. He is also a keen follower of the NFL and one of his long term goals is to go to America to see his team, the Green Bay Packers in a live game.
During the 2008/09 football season, Chris attended every single Leicester City home and away game during their League One triumph as well as a number of other games along the way. In total he attended 74 games, visiting over 40 different stadiums along the way.
