Anna Brocklehurst ACA CTA

Anna graduated with a 1st class honours degree in Banking, Finance and Management from Loughborough University in 2005 after which she began her accountancy career with a large local provider where she qualified as a Chartered Accountant. Anna joined Charnwood in 2009, to work alongside Andrew Maidstone and now manages a varied portfolio of clients from farmers to multi million pound turnover manufacturers. Anna completed her CTA (Chartered Tax Advisor) exams in May 2011 passing all of the exams first time, in one sitting, and is now enjoying putting this knowledge into practice adding considerable value to her clients.

Outside work Anna is a keen triathlete, having completed the iron distance Outlaw race in 2010, and plans further races at that distance in the future.

 

Chris Hutton FCCA

Chris has been with Charnwood Accountants from the start in April 2004. Chris plays an integral role in the firm's past, present and future looking after a portfolio of clients and playing a key part in the practice's management. Chris has been advising owner managed businesses since 1999, in that time Chris qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant which has given him the technical knowledge to go with good business acumen and listening skills, which are key to his role in advising clients.

Chris's experience and knowledge mean that he can meet the day-to-day needs of his clients' compliance requirements as well as advising them on business and taxation issues. Chris believes his no nonsense and proactive approach is highly valued by clients and colleagues alike. Chris has a keen interest in developing the practice and has a long term invested interest in the business.

 

Karen Stevenson

Karen joined Charnwood Accountants in May 2004 and is our Practice Administrator/Manager who overseas key issues in the office along with managing a team of four Administration/Reception staff.

Having trained and qualified at secretarial college back in the 80’s Karen has worked in a variety of PA/Secretarial and supervisory roles her whole working life and has gained a wealth of experience and understanding about what makes a difference to both clients and back office staff.  Her professional approach ensures clients receive excellent frontline service with a personal and welcoming reception.  Karen also ensures that the technical team are assisted in their day to day duties to free up as much time for them as possible to concentrate on what they do best, adding value to their clients.

Outside of the office Karen loves socialising with friends and family, weekend breaks, dancing and music.

 

Steve Lathwood FCCA

Steve has played an integral part in the development of Charnwood from the start.  After graduating with a 1st class honours degree in business and accounting in 2001 he continued his development and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant 3 years later shortly after joining Charnwood Accountants.

Steve draws on his extensive knowledge and experience in advising clients on all aspects of their business affairs, ensuring tax efficiencies are considered at every turn and giving due consideration to the commercial reality of the environment in which our clients operate.

Outside of work, Steve enjoys spending time with his young family and captaining a local pool team.
